About Prevail Recovery Center

Prevail Recovery Center is located in sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Knoxville, Tennessee. serving those who suffer from substance abuse in the local South Florida region and beyond. We treat every patient with dignity and recognize that addiction is a chronic disease and treatment should be tailored to each unique individual.

Our dedicated team of treatment professionals creates a tranquil, structured, and motivating treatment experience with individual and group therapies to help you succeed and stay inspired.

Our vision at Prevail Recovery Center is to provide the highest quality therapeutic services. We take a 12-step based approach to addiction treatment, and we believe in treating the individual through mind, body and spirit. Each of these components have an important effect on the well-being of a person. We treat not just the physical aspect of the disease, but also the emotional, familial, environmental and social.

It is our mission to provide the highest quality clinical services to individuals struggling with addiction as well as co-occurring diagnoses. Our clinical services are individualized to fit the needs of each Client in order to reduce symptoms, improve functionality and strengthen the capacity to live an independent and fulfilling life. Prevail Recovery Center’s approach provides a supportive environment, where healing can occur for the Client as well as their loved ones.

Scott Hastings

Chief Executive Officer

Scott Hastings grew up in Dallas, TX, where, at a young age, he struggled with drug and alcohol addiction. In 2013, he decided to change his life, move to South Florida and embrace sobriety. Ever since, he has dedicated his professional career to helping addicts in need. He has 8+ years of experience in the field, 7 of which in leadership and management positions. He specializes in accreditation, compliance, operations, crisis management, business development and personnel management. He strives on a daily basis to create an atmosphere at Prevail to facilitate safety, comfort and success for all patients.

Tyler Wagner

DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS

Tyler Wagner, 26, is from Mount Laurel, NJ. Tyler relocated to Fort Lauderdale when he was 18 and started working in the recovery industry at the age of 21. Over the past five years Tyler has passionately worked as an outreach Coordinator and the Director of Business Relations in several recovery centers throughout south Florida. During this time, Tyler oversaw both inpatient and business development divisions and worked hand and hand with the CEOs of the companies. He has successfully assisted over 100 suffering addicts to a sober living life.

Tyler Wagner, 26, is from Mount Laurel, NJ. Tyler relocated to Fort Lauderdale when he was 18 and started working in the recovery industry at the age of 21. Over the past five years Tyler has passionately worked as an outreach Coordinator and the Director of Business Relations in several recovery centers throughout south Florida. During this time, Tyler oversaw both inpatient and business development divisions and worked hand and hand with the CEOs of the companies. Andrew Turner

DIRECTOR OF CLIENT SERVICES & ALUMNI

Andrew Turner, 31, is from Bangor ME. Andrew struggled with addiction after being prescribed narcotics for a sports injury. Realizing he was in trouble, Andrew reached out to find his way back to a clean and sober life. He moved to South Florida in 2013 in search of sobriety and stayed ever since. Andrew has dedicated his life to helping others who struggle with addiction and mental health illness and regularly goes above and beyond for anyone in need. He started working helping others as a Behavioral Health Technician working up to various roles including case management, outreach and operations. He also has experience working with adolescents as a local outreach coordinator. Andrew believes every addict deserves a second chance at life and is dedicated to making that a reality.

Evan Prager

Evan Prager, 33, is from East Meadow, NY. He found himself struggling with substance abuse early on in high school which followed him into adult hood addictions to drugs. Recognizing the need for change he saught the help of others for his sobriety and decided to dedicate his life to helping others find their own path to clean and sober living. Evan relocated to South, Florida and began working in the detox and rehabilitation industry. Evan has worked at multiple treatment centers in various roles from Admissions Director to Marketing Director increasing patient outreach all over South Florida. His desire in life is give other fellow addicts the tools to live a healthy sober life like him.

Luis Garcia

Luis Garcia is a primary therapist at Prevail Recovery Center. He is a proud double alumnus of
Florida International University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology and his master’s degree in professional counseling psychology.


Prior to working at Prevail, Luis spent upwards of ten years working in applied behavior analysis
both in the US and abroad, helping individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders of all ages and their families achieve a sense of unity and stability. Additionally, Luis acquired extensive
experience aiding adults with dual diagnoses while at the psychiatric stabilization unit of Aventura Hospital.

 

Luis’s approach to substance abuse treatment treats addiction as both a disease and a symptom of something stemming from underlying cognitive and emotional conditions. He believes in treating the whole person rather than simply addressing the condition. His treatment takes an individualized cognitive-behavioral approach combining aspects of dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, and values clarification.

 

With the mind as a light and heart as a compass, he believes that with the right aid anyone is capable of reaching their True North.

Sarah

Sarah is a primary therapist with the Prevail Recovery Center team. Originally from New Jersey, Sarah began her own journey of recovery after moving to South Florida in 2015. Sarah is a graduate of Florida International University earning a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and a Master of Science In professional
counseling psychology.

 

Sarah has been working in the substance use and mental health field for over 5 years and has experience in various roles and levels of care. She is an active member of Panthers for Recovery through FIU and is a Shatterproof ambassador, working to break the stigma surrounding those
struggling with addiction as an advocate for change.

 

Sarah is passionate about helping others work to achieve their goals and believes everyone should have a safe and healing place to work through life’s difficulties. Sarah utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques and approaches, and deeply respects the therapeutic relationship with each individual. In addition to her passion for work in the helping field, Sarah also loves spending time with her dogs and fosters animals in need.

Sevenise Cherelus, DON

Director of Nursing

Yakov Greenstein, M.D., is a board-certified psychiatrist currently working at Compass Health Systems, PA. He received his MD Degree at Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv, Israel in 1984. Dr. Greenstein completed his residency in psychiatry at Albert Einstein College of Medicine including impatient and outpatient work, emergency psychiatry, and a special emphasis on Consult/Liaison Psychiatry.

 

In 1984, Dr. Greenstein completed an internship in Internal Medicine/Neuropsychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine New England Medical Center, which included eight months of general internal medicine with concurrent ICU/CCU responsibilities. During this time, he worked four months in neuropsychiatry and concurrent research in haloperidol blood levels.

 

In 1986 during his residency, Dr. Greenstein undertook a social and community psychiatry project in the group treatment of female Holocaust survivors. He also gave a weekly practicum to medical students on managing medical and surgical patients with superimposed psychiatric problems.

 

In his career, Dr. Greenstein has conducted research related to the psychopharmacological treatment of anxiety/intravenous clomipramine in refractory obsessive-compulsive disorder, as well as the use of parental antidepressants in treatment-resistant depression.

 

Dr. Greenstein is engrossed about the interface of psychiatry and medicine, and the mind/body dynamic and the biological substrates of intelligence. He is also passionate about the psychodynamic treatment of Holocaust Families and Orthodox Jews.

As Director of Nursing, Sevenise brings an abundance of supervisory and managerial experience to Prevail recovery Center. Sevenise is a Registered Nurse who has worked in a variety of medical areas and has focused on mental health and addiction treatment . Sevenise is a graduate of West Coast University earning a master’s degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner. Sevenise is a member of the Florida Nurses Association. Sevenise takes great pride in being a part of a profession that allows her to help people overcome difficult challenges. “Our facility and more importantly our close-knit team of professionals provide an incredibly supportive and dignified approach to care. Her expertise and experience assist our patients get through the detox process comfortably and safely. When Sevenise is not working, you can find her traveling, working out at the gym, or cooking for her friends and family.

Dr. Sergey Litvinov, MD is a psychiatry specialist in Coral Springs, FL. Dr. Litvinov has extensive experience in Psychotic Disorders and Addiction & Substance Abuse.
