What We Do

Understanding New Jersey Magellan Drug and Alcohol Rehab Coverage

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) conducts an annual survey to gain important information on addiction, mental health, and treatment. This survey is called the National Survey on Drug Use and Health or NSDUH.

In 2012, statistics from the NSDUH showed that 16.5% of the United States population ages 12+ had met the diagnostic criteria for a substance use disorder at some point in the past year. However, out of those people, 94% did not get treatment for their condition. Unfortunately, untreated substance abuse of any kind can have serious consequences.

Health insurance coverage can help you cover the cost of addiction treatment so that you can get the help you need. Prevail Recovery Center accepts Magellan insurance and policies from most other major insurance companies to help make treatment more accessible.

To guarantee that your Magellan insurance plan will cover your treatment at Prevail Recovery Center, we will verify your health insurance coverage for free. We can verify your insurance from anywhere, even if you are not in-state when you contact us. Once your health insurance is verified, we will answer any questions about treatment at our New Jersey location and discuss the next steps.

Every client we work with will get an intake assessment after their insurance is verified, which will help us get a better idea of their addiction treatment needs and history. Depending on your needs, history, and other factors (e.g., commitments like work or school), one treatment program or level of care may be better for you than another.

PREVAIL RECOVERY CENTER

New Jersey Magellan Substance Abuse Treatment Options

Prevail Recovery Center is an entirely outpatient addiction treatment center with multiple levels of care. While each level of care at Prevail Recovery Center lets you live off-campus while receiving addiction treatment, they all require a different time commitment and have unique benefits. Here are the levels of care we offer and what they entail. If you’re unsure which is best for you when you enter treatment, our staff members can help.

Detox

Drug and alcohol withdrawal can cause unpleasant and possibly harmful withdrawal symptoms. Programs for detoxification or “detox” are intended to assist you in quitting drugs or alcohol safely and with the least amount of discomfort or distress. For clients looking for a Magellan drug rehab in New Jersey with less severe withdrawal symptoms or who do not require the round-the-clock care that inpatient detox programs offer, our outpatient detox program is the best option. Therapy, frequent check-ins, medication management, and other appropriate treatments are frequently included in outpatient detox programs. If you are taking a medication that needs to be tapered off, we will work with you to develop a plan for doing so gradually. We can refer you if you need inpatient detoxification.

Partial hospitalization

The most intensive outpatient addiction treatment is partial hospitalization (PHP). Because it requires attending treatment six days a week for six to eight hours per day, it is a great substitute for residential or inpatient treatment programs. However, clients are allowed to return home at night, unlike in residential or inpatient treatment. In order to support thorough healing and recovery, PHP clients at Prevail Recovery Center will participate in a variety of therapies, including but not limited to individual therapy and scheduled groups.

Intensive outpatient

The step down from partial hospitalization is intensive outpatient programs (IOP). IOP gives you access to the same therapies and treatments as a PHP client while requiring a much smaller time commitment. The main distinction between IOP and PHP is that IOP patients attend treatment less frequently and for shorter periods of time each day. IOP may be the best option for people who need to work or attend school while receiving treatment, who don’t require as intensive of care as PHP, or who are stepping down from more intensive care.

Outpatient

Our outpatient program, which is one level below IOP, is frequently used to aid patients in maintaining their recovery after completing a higher level of care. The Prevail Recovery Center offers a wide range of outpatient options, including but not limited to individual therapy, alumni support and outings, ongoing groups, and other therapies.

What We Do

Reasons to Choose Prevail Recovery Center

If you are looking for a Magellan drug rehab for yourself or a loved one, you might or might not have compared several treatment centers already. In addition to our levels of care, individualized treatment plans, and expert staff members, there are so many things that set Prevail Recovery Center apart as a leader in addiction treatment. Here are some of the reasons clients choose us for their substance abuse treatment needs.

Supportive housing

Near our New Jersey location, Prevail Recovery Center owns supportive housing properties. Facilities for supportive housing, also known as sober living, resemble conventional apartment buildings and have a common rental agreement. They are, however, a totally drug- and alcohol-free environment. Living in sober living is not a requirement for participation in a treatment program, but it can make getting to and from treatment easier. Many of our clients live in sober living facilities either during or after their treatment.

Evidence-based treatments

The staff at Prevail Recovery Center has received training in a variety of evidence-based interventions and strategies for treating co-occurring mental health conditions and substance abuse. The 12-step art therapy, yoga therapy, nutrition, life skills, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, family therapy, and more are some examples. Please get in touch with us if you have any questions about the therapies or treatments we provide.

Dual diagnosis care

Prevail Recovery Center’s Magellan drug rehab in New Jersey offers dual diagnosis care for clients who experience both substance abuse and one or more co-occurring mental health disorders. For example, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, or anxiety. Dual diagnosis care addresses both substance abuse and any other mental health concerns a person lives with to support whole-person treatment and recovery.

Specialized programs

Many life experiences have the capacity to impact mental health, addiction, and recovery. We have specialized programs for clients who are a part of various communities and groups. These include programs for women, men, the LGBTQ+ community, veterans, college students, young adults, teens and adolescents, couples, professionals, and first responders.
