RECOVERY STARTS HERE

Cocaine Addiction Rehab in New Jersey

Recent statistics indicate that 1.7% of the population ages 12+ had used cocaine in the past year in 2021 and that 0.5% met the criteria for a cocaine use disorder. That same year, it’s said that around 24,486 deaths involved cocaine. We want to change the statistics. If you’re looking for a cocaine addiction rehab in New Jersey, you’re in the right place. Our outpatient programs are designed to help people overcome addiction and get to where they want to be in life. So, what should you know? This page will go over the signs and symptoms of cocaine addiction, long-term health risks associated with cocaine abuse, and how Prevail Recovery Center can help.

What We Do

Signs and Symptoms of Cocaine Addiction

Understanding the signs and symptoms of cocaine addiction can help you identify it in yourself or someone you know. Using cocaine can affect your mind, body, and behavior. However, one does not have to experience every possible symptom to meet the criteria for a substance use disorder, and some signs may be more prevalent than others, depending on the person. With that in mind, signs and symptoms associated with cocaine use include but aren’t limited to the following.

  • Mood swings (e.g., feelings of euphoria while using followed by feelings of depression)
  • Lying to hide cocaine use from other people involved in one’s life
  • Loss of interest in activities one used to enjoy
  • Drug paraphernalia hidden around the home
  • An increased need for privacy or secrecy
  • Social isolation or withdrawal from others
  • Increased energy, excitability, or euphoria
  • An uptick in risky or dangerous behavior
  • Unusual confidence or talkativeness
  • Gastrointestinal distress
  • Irritability or agitation
  • Weight loss
  • Dilated pupils
  • Runny nose
  • Nosebleeds
  • Paranoia
  • Anxiety

Long-Term Health Risks of Cocaine Abuse

Unfortunately, short-term side effects aren’t the only possible consequence of cocaine use. The long-term health risks of using cocaine are serious and can be permanent. If you use cocaine alongside other drugs, you may be at an increased likelihood of certain effects or consequences. Possible long-term health risks associated with cocaine abuse include but aren’t limited to the following.

  • Financial problems or problems at work (including job loss)
  • Problems in interpersonal relationships or family life
  • An increased risk of accidents or injury
  • Collapsed or perforated nasal cavities
  • Cardiac arrhythmias
  • Legal problems
  • Heart attack
  • Lung damage
  • Overdose
  • Seizures
  • Ulcers
  • Stroke
  • Death
  • Coma

PREVAIL RECOVERY CENTER

Outpatient Treatment for Cocaine Addiction

Prevail Recovery Center is an outpatient-only treatment facility. We have multiple levels of care available for clients seeking a cocaine addiction rehab in New Jersey so that we can meet every client we work with where they’re at. Building an aftercare plan will almost always be part of treatment. This way, clients know what their next steps will be after they leave their program. If you aren’t sure which of the following levels of care is right for you at this time, our admissions staff can help you decide.

Detoxification

Discontinuing the use of substances can come with uncomfortable and potentially dangerous withdrawal symptoms, which can make it harder to stop using drugs and alcohol. The purpose of a detoxification or detox program is to get help getting sober safely and with an increased level of comfort. We offer outpatient detoxification programs for clients who experience less severe withdrawal symptoms and do not require inpatient detox. Often, outpatient detox is a good fit for those recovering from an addiction to cocaine. Though it is not required, many people undergo a detox program before entering another level of care, like partial hospitalization.

In our outpatient detox programs, you’ll work closely with your treatment team at Prevail Recovery Center for therapy and other applicable forms of support, such as medication management.

Partial hospitalization

Partial hospitalization programs (PHP) are the most intensive level of care you can get without going to an inpatient treatment facility. On a typical day in PHP at our cocaine addiction rehab in New Jersey, you will spend most of the day at your treatment facility but return home at night to sleep. Since clients attend PHP for the majority of the day, most days of the week, the time commitment mirrors that of a full-time job. Accordingly, most people take a break from work or school while they’re in PHP. Our partial hospitalization programs involve a combination of different therapies and treatments, including regular groups and individual therapy sessions.

Intensive outpatient

Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) are one step below partial hospitalization in intensity. Many people attend IOP at our  cocaine addiction rehab in New Jersey while working, going to school, or taking care of their family because it offers increased flexibility and a lower time commitment in comparison to PHP. Much like PHP, IOP involves a combination of groups, individual therapy sessions, and other treatments. That said, you’ll engage in these activities for fewer hours each week and won’t have to commute to your treatment center as often. Sometimes, IOP is also used as a step-down form of care.

Outpatient

We offer other lower-level outpatient care plans for those who wish to continue receiving services at Prevail Recovery Center after attending PHP or IOP. These services include but aren’t limited to groups, therapy, and medication management.

What We Do

Reasons to Choose Prevail Recovery Center

There are so many things that set Prevail Recovery Center apart. In addition to the benefits of outpatient treatment, expert staff members, and specialized programs we offer, here are some of the reasons clients choose us for their addiction treatment needs.

Dual diagnosis care

Dual diagnosis refers to the presence of both a substance use disorder like cocaine addiction and another mental health condition. For example, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), or depression. Our team is equipped to provide mental health care for another disorder alongside addiction treatment.

Sober living

We own sober living facilities for those looking for a drug and alcohol-free place to live. Sober living is just like living in an apartment with a standard rental agreement in the sense that you’ll have independence and autonomy, but it also provides a sense of community. Since we are an outpatient-only treatment center, many of our clients who do not live nearby choose to live in our sober living facilities for the duration of their program at least.

Evidence-based treatments

Prevail Recovery Center uses heavily researched and effective treatment methods. Every client we see gets a personalized care plan to ensure that they get treatment that meets their needs. If you are unsure as to whether we offer an approach or treatment method you’re interested in, please contact us for more information.
