While we are an outpatient-only treatment center, not all levels of outpatient care are created equally. The time commitment and amount of support or supervision vary from program to program. At Prevail Recovery Center, we offer the following programs or levels of care. If you don’t know which level of care is most suitable for you at this time, our admissions staff can help you decide. Aftercare planning is part of every level of care we offer to ensure that each client feels confident about their next steps post-treatment.

Detoxification
Â
Discontinuing the use of substances can come with uncomfortable and potentially dangerous withdrawal symptoms. This can make it more challenging to stop using drugs and alcohol. The purpose of a detoxification or “detox” program is to help clients get sober safely and with an increased level of comfort. We offer outpatient detoxification programs for clients who experience less severe withdrawal symptoms and do not require inpatient detox. In our outpatient detox programs, you’ll work closely with your treatment team at Prevail Recovery Center for therapy and other applicable forms of support (e.g., medication management).Â
Â
Tapering is necessary for some substances. Specifically, those that cause dangerous symptoms if discontinued abruptly. If you require tapering, our trained medical staff can guide you through it. It is possible to enter other levels of care, like partial hospitalization, during the tapering process.
Â
Partial hospitalizationÂ
Â
Partial hospitalization programs (PHP) are the most intensive forms of addiction treatment you can get without going to an inpatient treatment facility. On a typical day in PHP at Prevail Recovery Center, you will spend most of the day at your treatment facility but return home at night to sleep. Since clients attend PHP for the majority of the day, most days of the week, the time commitment mirrors that of a full-time job. Accordingly, most people take a break from work or school while they’re in PHP. Our partial hospitalization programs involve a combination of different therapies and treatments, including but not limited to regular groups and individual therapy sessions. Family therapy is also available.
Â
Intensive outpatientÂ
Â
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) are less intensive and time-consuming than PHP, but they still provide high-quality care. Just like those in PHP, our IOP clients engage in a combination of group and individual therapy, as well as any other treatments that are applicable to and beneficial for the specific client. The difference is that the amount of therapy required for IOP means that you’ll be in treatment for fewer hours each week. IOP can be ideal for those who need a comprehensive addiction treatment team but cannot commit to PHP. For example, those who are employed or enrolled in college while attending treatment.Â
Outpatient
Â
We have other outpatient options primarily designed to help clients stay connected to their treatment team after finishing PHP or IOP, but with a much lower time commitment. Our most common outpatient offerings include continued groups, individual therapy, and medication management.
