Getting off of drugs and alcohol can come with uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms. The purpose of a detoxification or detox program is to get off of drugs and alcohol safely with the help of healthcare professionals. We offer outpatient detoxification programs for clients who experience less severe withdrawal symptoms and do not require inpatient detox. In our outpatient detoxification programs, you’ll work closely with expert medical and mental health staff for therapy and, if applicable, medication management. For example, some may need medically assisted treatment (MAT).Â
Â
If you are someone who requires tapering, we can guide you through the process properly. This is common and often necessary for those who use substances such as benzodiazepines that can have dangerous withdrawal symptoms. In the case that you require tapering guidance or medication, you can continue receiving these services at Prevail Recovery Center if you enter another one of our programs.Â
Â
Furthermore, if outpatient detox isn’t right for you, we can give you a referral to an inpatient detox center nearby. Some of our clients engage in inpatient detox elsewhere prior to entering PHP or another level of care.Â
