TREATMENT FOR YOU

Outpatient Drug Rehab in Somerset County, NJ

While substance use disorders are prevalent, not everyone with one gets the help they need. One of the possible reasons behind this is that addiction treatment can sometimes feel inaccessible. Another is that many people with substance use disorders don’t realize they need help. Prevail Recovery Center is an entirely outpatient facility that strives to make treatment a reality for anyone who can benefit from it. However, it’s not for everyone. So, why do some people choose outpatient, and who is it for?

Clients may favor outpatient drug rehab in Somerset County, NJ, over inpatient treatment for a number of reasons, including but not limited to the following:

  • Typically costs less than inpatient or residential drug rehab.
  • Increased flexibility, trust, and freedom compared to inpatient treatment options.
  • Real-time assistance in working through daily life challenges that emerge throughout recovery.
  • Opportunities to build new skills, create a support team, and make a long-term, sustainable self-care plan.

As for who outpatient programs are for, they’re usually most ideal for those who prefer to sleep and live at home while getting addiction treatment, who must attend to responsibilities like work, caring for a family, or school while in treatment, or who do not need treatment as intensive as inpatient care. If you’re interested in outpatient care near Somerset County, our addiction treatment center in New Jersey may be the right fit for you.

Our Levels of Care

Even though we are a fully outpatient facility, we offer more than one level of care. Some levels of care are more or less intensive than others, which allows us to meet every unique client where they’re at and work toward their individual goals. Here are the levels of care or programs offered at Prevail Recovery Center and what they entail. If you’re looking for drug rehab in Somerset County, NJ, or surrounding areas and don’t know which level of care is most suitable for you, our admissions team can help.

Discontinuing the use of substances may come with uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms. This can make it more challenging to stop using drugs and alcohol. The goal of a detoxification or detox program is to help you get sober safely and with less discomfort. We offer outpatient detoxification programs for clients who experience less severe withdrawal symptoms and do not require inpatient detox. In our outpatient detox programs, you’ll work closely with medical and mental health staff for therapy and, if applicable, medication management. While it’s not required, some people enter detox prior to another program. For example, before attending PHP. We have medication-assisted treatment (MAT) as an option for those who need it.

If you are on a substance that requires tapering, we can guide you through the process. This is common and often necessary for those who use substances that can cause dangerous symptoms if discontinued abruptly.

Partial hospitalization programs (PHP) are the most intensive level of care you can get without being in an inpatient program. On a typical day in PHP at Prevail Recovery Center, you will spend most of the day at your treatment facility but return home at night to sleep. Since clients attend PHP for the majority of the day, most days of the week, the time commitment mirrors that of a full-time job. Accordingly, clients should plan to take time off of work while they’re in PHP. Our partial hospitalization programs involve a combination of different therapies and treatments, including but not limited to regular groups and individual therapy sessions.

Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) are one step below PHP in intensity. Our IOP clients engage in a combination of group and individual therapy, just like those in PHP. The difference is that you’ll be in treatment for fewer hours each week in IOP. IOP can be ideal for those who need a comprehensive addiction treatment team but cannot commit to PHP. For example, those who are employed, need to take care of their family, or plan to attend college while in addiction treatment.

Other outpatient options offered at Prevail Recovery Center require an even lower time commitment than IOP. Many clients choose to enter some form of continued outpatient after PHP or IOP so they can keep pursuing therapy and other treatments, have regular check-ins with staff, and get support from their community as they experience or transition back into their daily lives.
