Prevail Recovery Center is a fully outpatient treatment center that offers multiple levels of care or types of outpatient treatment. Each level of care or type of outpatient treatment we use requires a different time commitment and may be more or less suitable for an individual looking for United Healthcare addiction treatment in New Jersey based on their current needs. Here are the levels of care we offer and what each one entails. If you aren’t sure which one is right for you at this time, our admissions staff can help you decide. 

Detoxification

Getting off of drugs and alcohol can come with uncomfortable and potentially serious withdrawal symptoms. Detoxification or “detox” programs are designed to help people get off of substances safely and with less distress. Our outpatient detox program is an ideal fit for someone who has less severe withdrawal symptoms or who does not need the 24/7 monitoring that inpatient detox provides. Outpatient detox can entail a number of different services, such as regular monitoring or check-ins, therapy, and medication management. In many cases, clients attend detox prior to another level of care, like partial hospitalization. Those who need help tapering off of a substance can enter another level of treatment while doing so.

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is available at Prevail Recovery Center. If you require inpatient detox or another form of inpatient care for any reason, we can provide you with a referral. 

Partial hospitalization 

Partial hospitalization programs (PHP) are the most intensive type of addiction treatment you can get without getting admitted to an inpatient treatment center. In PHP at Prevail Recovery Center, clients attend treatment six days per week and engage in a combination of treatment activities and therapies. For example, individual therapy and regular groups. PHP is an ideal alternative to residential treatment for those who need more supervision than intensive outpatient or traditional outpatient counseling sessions can supply but do not need the level of supervision inpatient treatment provides. 

Intensive outpatient

Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) are the next step down from partial hospitalization. Although many of the treatment activities IOP clients engage in are the same as those used in PHP, IOP clients attend treatment at Prevail Recovery Center less frequently and for less time throughout the week. IOP is ideal for those who need more flexibility than PHP can provide, such as those who must work or attend school full-time while in treatment, or who have finished PHP and are ready to move down to less intensive care but benefit from the structure IOP provides. 

Outpatient

Continued outpatient services are available at Prevail Recovery Center for those who have completed a higher level of care, like PHP or IOP, or who need a lower level of support than PHP or IOP supply. Our outpatient program is often used as a step-down form of care designed to help clients maintain sobriety and requires fewer hours of treatment per week. The goal of outpatient is to give you support as you transition back into your daily life.
